The bacteria in your mouth put your oral health at risk. If you do not remove the bacteria through your oral hygiene habits, they will grow and form plaque and tartar. If that continues it can cause tooth decay, cavities, lost or loose teeth and gum disease. All of these can cause infections that can spread throughout your body.
